Growing throughout the mountains of Utah, are the aspen trees from which the original, unique caricatures were carved. The inspiration for this folk art comes from an equally unique scouter who has over the past fifty years created more than 60,000 of these bolos. Thousands of these carvings have been awarded in the hope that those awarded will deepen their commiment to the Scout Oath and Law.
